Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 17, 2026
This policy covers the Salah Ceylon mobile app (published by NerdCody) and the prayer-lk API it talks to.
Summary
Salah Ceylon does not collect, store, or share any personal information. There are no user accounts, no analytics, no advertising, and no tracking of any kind.
What the app does locally, on your device
- Your selected district and notification/athan-sound preferences are stored only on your device, so they persist between app launches. They are never sent anywhere.
- Downloaded Raheek Al-Makhtoom audio chapters are cached on your device for offline playback.
- Your last-played Raheek chapter and playback position are stored only on your device, so playback can resume where you left off.
What the app sends over the network
The app makes anonymous requests to our server to fetch:
- Prayer time schedules for your selected district
- The athan sound catalog
- The Raheek Al-Makhtoom chapter list and audio files
These requests do not include any personal information, device identifiers, or account data — they're the same for every user who selects the same district.
Notifications
If you enable athan notifications, they're scheduled entirely on your device using iOS's local notification system. No notification content or schedule is sent to any server.
Third parties
The app does not integrate any analytics, advertising, or crash-reporting SDKs. Audio files and prayer-time data are served from Google Cloud Platform infrastructure (Cloud Run, Cloud Storage) that NerdCody operates — Google acts only as our infrastructure provider and does not receive any personal data through the app.
Children's privacy
The app does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children, because it does not collect information at all.
